What is stack overflow?

Stack is a reserved memory that program use to process hardware events in your computer setup. When a program uses more memory than it is supposed to, stack overflow causes. It will inform you by a message like ‘Stack overflow at line: 0’ and tells you to close the program. Every program has a specified amount of stack memory in its original code but it exceeds it then stack overflow causes. It may be occur due to the less amount of physical memory than the memory required by the program. Once you close the program then you can deal with the problem. Solution of this problem is-

  1.  Use Registry Cleaner software: The best way to deal with a stack overflow is to run the registry cleaner software in your computer. This will ensure the issues with registry and also free the physical memory used by the old programs due to which this problem may happen.
  2. If you have less amount of physical memory then usually this problem comes because of the memory required by the programs is not present in your computer. In this condition you have to increase the physical memory (RAM) of your computer.
  3. It might be possible open program’s has a error in his original code and it needs updation. So update the program due to which stack overflow causes.

Fix a thermal shutdown in computer

A thermal shutdown occurs when a CPU’s temperature reaches at critical level on which computer will automatically shutdown to avoid permanent damage. There are so many reasons that can cause your computer to overheat. Overheating in computers is no more due to the computer’s processor, the motherboard’s chip set and processor of video card are equally responsible. They end up heating the air inside the case of computer, during and after use. Fixing thermal shutdown may take hours and may require replacement of potentially expensive components. So it is very important to protect your computer from thermal shutdown means maintenance of computer.
Tips to fix it:
  • Leave your computer for a moment because it needs some time to cool down depending on room temperature after thermal shut down. You may turn on your room’s AC to cool it. But don’t put your computer at refrigerated place because the sudden drop in temperature may wrap and crack internal parts.
  • Detach the computer’s power cable and open the side door of the case. Visually inspect your computer with small flash light for physical damage like smell of melted plastic. If there, then you need to go to technician. If you won’t find any physical damage the check for dust in your case. If there, then it is good time to clean it out because it works like a insulator and causes heat.
  • Then it’s time to check for mechanical failure. Turn on your computer for 10-15 seconds and ensure that your system and video card fan are spinning. If not, then it need to be replaced before using the computer. put your hand outside the case behind the PSU, you should feel warm air coming out  if not, then replace your PSU. If the other fans are not spinning, check their connectors for damage or looseness.
  • In rare cases, the thermal paste or grease between your CPU and its heat-sink may have degraded, causing the CPU to overheat. In this case heat-sink need to be re installed.
