To solve "BOOTMGR is missing"

Restart your computer. Now check your optical drives, USB ports and floppy drives for media. Seldom BOOTMGR error occurs if your computer setup is trying to boot from a non-bootable disc. If you find this is the cause for your problem then you have to change the boot order in BIOS so the hard drive is selected as the first boot device. Sometime BOOTMGR error could be caused due to loose or unplugged power and data cables. So try to reset all internal data and power cables in proper way. Sometime due to corrupt hard drive sectors computer shows BOOTMGR error. For fixing it you can do Startup repair of windows operating system including Windows vista, Windows 7, Window 8. This type of installation will replace any missing or corrupt files, including BOOTMGR. If you face any problem while installing Windows operating system like Window 7, Window 8 etc. If the partition boot sector becomes corrupted or not configured correctly in some way, then Windows won’t be able to start properly and cause an error like BOOTMGR is missing in the boot process. The solution to a damaged partition boot sector is to overwrite it with a new, properly configured partition boot sector using the Bootrec command. Damage of boot Configuration Data can also be the cause of BOOTMGR error. For eliminating this you have to rebuild the Boot Configuration Data (BCD).You has to use Bootrec command to build the BCD. Check the hard drive and other drive settings in the BIOS and make sure they are correct. The BIOS configuration tells the computer how to use a drive so incorrect settings can cause problems, including BOOTMGR errors. There's usually an Auto setting in BIOS for hard disk and optical drive configurations which is usually a safe bet if you're not sure what to do. An outdated BIOS version can sometimes cause the "BOOTMGR is missing" error. For eliminating this problem you should update your motherboard’s BIOS regularly. Install upgraded Window which will fix all the missing files causing the BOOTMGR error. This type of installation will completely remove Windows from your PC and install it again from scratch. This action will certainly resolve any BOOTMGR error but before doing this it is always advised to make a backup all your data as this installation can remove all your data so by doing backup it can be restored. If you have followed the above steps and still you have the problem then you’re most likely facing a hardware issue. So in my opinion you have to replace your hard drive and then install a new copy of Windows.

BOOTMGR is missing

Sometimes when you restart your computer then your computer shows you the message “BOOTMGR is missing”. And also gives you the option to press Ctrl+Alt+Delete to restart the computer setup. This file is responsible for loading your windows operating system and if it missing then your computer won’t be able to load windows. There are number of reasons possible for this error message.

The most common reason for the BOOTMGR missing error is corrupted system files. Sometimes it can be caused due to operating system upgrade issues and corrupted hard drive sectors. Outdated BIOS (basic input output system) is also may be responsible for this error message. If your computer hard drive is not properly setup in CMOS then it will give you the same message. If the computer is booting from a non-bootable source then this error message comes. Damaged or loose hardware interface cable may also cause this error message. 

NTLDR is missing ?

Sometimes you can see the message on your windows XP computer setup. These messages are about NTLDR file that is responsible for loading your operating system, it is missing.

1. "NTLDR is missing Press any key to restart"
2. "NTLDR is missing Press Ctrl Alt Del to restart"
3. "Boot: Couldn't find NTLDR Please insert another disk"

Now, here comes the solution for the NTLDR error, which is given in easy steps as below;

• Remove all the external memory from your computer because sometimes it is responsible for this error message.
• Windows repair- You can repair your windows by inserting your windows installation XP CD. Insert it and rather than installing a window go for the windows repair.
• Downloading and running updates:  Sometimes this problem occurs due to your windows has been outdated. So you have to update your windows.

Fixing Registry

Registry of the computer maintains the list of all the programs that are currently present in your computer setup. You can maintain it in two ways-

Manual cleaning

Type regdit in the RUN box and press Enter. Now registry editor pops up there you can edit registry keys. You have to take a proper safety while editing a registry because it is a tricky and time consuming task. If something goes wrong in your registry then it may responsible for loosing your windows.

Using a registry cleaner

It is very efficient way to fix your registry because it automatically fixes the registry in a professional way. If you are using good registry editor then it removes the responsibility of error in registry. If you fix your registry then it increases the speed of your computer. Hardware issue:

Sometimes hardware is also the root cause of the computer setup freezing or not responding. For example recently if you connected some hardware on your computer than simply remove it temporarily to check whether, that particular hardware is responsible for the computer locks up. 

Serious issue with Windows:

Even after going thorough all this steps, even then if your computer is locking up. It means your computer has seriously encountered the problems of some important files of operating system being getting corrupted. So here you can install your operating system CD on you disc drive and run the repair option, and all the corrupted files would be restored. Nut I would recommend you all to create the back up of all your files before you do repairing of your computer. 

Hardware failure:

Even after doing the repair and re-installation of your operating system, still if you face these problems, than it may be caused of your hardware issues like your CPU, Mother board, RAM(random access memory) and power supply. If you have extra available parts or have a friend or co-worker with a similar configuration that is willing to allow you to test their hardware in your computer, try swapping these parts to determine if they are at fault. Otherwise, you will need to have the computer serviced.

Computer not responding-1

DNS Error?

DNS error is one of the most common problems. DNS error inhibits the user to get access to the resources available on the internet. DNS stands for Domain Name Service (server or system). DNS is one of the most essential services available on the internet which is designed to translate host names written by user in address bar to IP (internet protocol) addresses which are numeric in nature. For instance, an address like www.jekdlp.com will be translated into an address like '10.95.255.74'.DNS error term is assigned to a computer problem which arises when the computer is not able to convert the website address into a numeric IP address. This translation makes it possible to establish a connection between the host computer and web server.

The screen is Frozen

It is common problem among computers. You are doing some important work on your computer and suddenly your computer setup stops working, the screen is frozen, we feel very bad. I usually happen due to insufficient RAM, registry conflicts, corrupt or missing files. If it happens then you do one thing, press and hold the power button until the computer turns shutdown and then restart your computer and try to remove the problem so it will not occur in future.

One of the important reason of this problem is insufficient RAM. So you have to increase the RAM of your computer. If the RAM is sufficient it may be the registry problem, use Registry Cleaner to fix it or you can restore the computer for missing and corrupt files.
